We are seeking a dedicated Business Office Manager to oversee financial and administrative functions at our facility. This role involves managing billing, collections, payroll, and resident financial services, ensuring compliance with regulations and smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain daily ledger entries and census reports.
- Complete monthly billing and statements for private pay and public aid residents.
- Coordinate with admissions and verify insurance coverage.
- Act as a liaison regarding billing issues with families, residents, and insurance providers.
- Handle petty cash transactions and oversee resident trust accounts.
- Manage daily business office operations, including billing, collections, payroll, and accounts payable/receivable.
- Prepare payroll and assist with new hire orientation.
- Record invoices and forward them to the Corporate Office.
- Receive and process payments, and prepare bank deposits.
- Maintain confidential resident business files.
- Coordinate with the Corporate Office on payroll matters.
- Support audits, surveys, and inspections with accurate documentation.
- Attend daily and weekly meetings.
- Supervise the front desk receptionist, including scheduling and training, providing coverage as needed.
Note: This role may include additional duties as assigned, requiring flexibility and willingness to assist with various tasks.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with secretarial duties such as filing, typing, and record keeping.
- Minimum of 2-3 years in a business office setting, preferably in healthcare or long-term care.
- Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance billing.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred; at minimum, an associate degree is required.
