• Knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal, managed care, insurance, and private-pay billing.
• Strong understanding of accounts receivable and collections.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the facility's business office.
• Oversee resident billing, accounts receivable, collections, and cash posting.
• Process Medicare, Medi-Cal, managed care, insurance, and private-pay billing.
• Verify resident insurance coverage and financial information.
• Monitor aging reports and promptly address outstanding balances.
• Maintain accurate resident financial records and supporting documentation.
• Communicate with residents, families, insurance companies, and government agencies regarding billing matters.
• Assist with resident admissions and financial agreements.
• Process deposits and reconcile facility accounts.
• Prepare financial reports and meet established reporting deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Maintain the confidentiality of resident, employee, and financial information.
• Collaborate with facility leadership and department managers.
