Position: Business Membership Sales Lead
Part-Time | Remote-Friendly | Commission-Based
The Aspen Daily News — the only independently owned daily newspaper in the Roaring Fork Valley — is looking for a motivated, mission-driven sales lead to launch and lead our Business Membership program.
This is not your typical sales role. We’re not just selling ad space (although we do that too) — but with this program, we’re building a movement of local businesses investing in fearless, local journalism. You’ll be the dedicated point person for cultivating relationships with community-minded businesses across the valley who want to align with a trusted, transparent, and tenacious news organization.
What You’ll Do:
What You Bring:
Compensation:
This is a commission-only position with high upside. We offer 35% commission on each new business membership sold, with first-year memberships priced at $750.
That means you earn $262.50 per sale, with no cap on commissions.
Why This Role Matters:
Business members help ensure the Aspen Daily News can continue its watchdog reporting, regional storytelling, youth journalism opportunities, and community collaborations. Every membership sold is a vote for local news with integrity.
