Job summary

Lendistry in California is seeking a Business Loan Consultant to manage inbound loan opportunities, collaborate with brokers and referral partners, and drive deal conversion. You will evaluate opportunities, gather documentation, and move transactions forward in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in lending, banking, sales support, or financial services.
  • Working knowledge of small business lending and loan structures (SBA experience preferred).
  • Ability to fully analyze, structure and package credit transactions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with internal teams and external partners.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume pipeline with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with CRM systems preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to move deals forward proactively.

Responsibilities

  • Educate clients on Lendistry’s value to foster long-term relationships.
  • Conduct initial deal screening for eligibility, structure, and credit fit.
  • Collect and review borrower documentation including financials, tax returns, and bank statements.
  • Prepare and package complete loan files for submission to Credit Team.
  • Maintain communication with partners and owners to provide updates and move deals forward.
  • Track and manage pipeline to ensure timely progression of opportunities.
  • Input and maintain data in CRM systems.
  • Coordinate with internal teams including credit, processing, and closing.
  • Identify opportunities to improve conversion rates and efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule after 30 days of employment, with three (3) days onsite and two (2) days remote per week and is based in our Los Angeles or Tustin, CA office.

A Day in the Life

The Business Loan Consultant (BLC) is responsible for managing all loan sizes, both inbound opportunities working directly with Business Owners and existing referral partners to drive deal conversion. This role works closely with brokers, and referral partners to ensure a smooth and efficient loan origination process. The Business Loan Consultant serves as a key point of contact for incoming deals, helping evaluate opportunities, gather required documentation, and move transactions forward. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and enjoys both relationship management and deal execution.

What You’ll Be Doing

Your Areas of Knowledge and Expertise

Compensation Range

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $65,000 - $85,000 annually plus commission.

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

Physical Requirements

This is a stationary position that requires frequent sitting (approximately 95%), repetitive wrist motions, grasping, speaking, listening, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. It also may require occasional standing, lifting, carrying of 20lbs or less, walking, kneeling, bending/stooping, twisting, pulling/pushing, and reaching above the shoulder. Employees in this position must be physically able to efficiently perform the essential functions of the position.
