Job summary

Orionplacement seeks a seasoned litigation attorney to represent clients in sophisticated business and commercial matters in Louisville, KY. The role involves managing cases through all phases of litigation, conducting depositions, and drafting pleadings and motions.

The ideal candidate has a JD, Kentucky Bar license, and at least five years of business litigation experience, with excellent research, writing, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active Kentucky Bar license.
• 5+ years of business or commercial litigation experience.
• Strong experience with discovery, depositions, pleadings, and motion practice.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Outstanding oral and written communication abilities.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Trusts and estates litigation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in complex business and commercial litigation matters.
• Manage cases through all phases of litigation.
• Conduct written discovery and defend and take depositions.
• Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, and other substantive filings.
• Participate in mediations, hearings, arbitrations, and court appearances.
• Assist with trial preparation and trial strategy.
• Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice groups.
• Deliver strategic legal advice while maintaining exceptional client service.
