Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school is required.
• Active Illinois law license is required.
• 1–5 years of relevant legal experience.
• Experience in commercial or civil litigation or corporate/transactional work is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of litigation and transactional matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and correspondence.
• Participate in all phases of litigation (discovery, motions, hearings, depositions, trial prep).
• Draft and review contracts, operating agreements, and governance documents.
• Assist clients with business formation, structuring, governance, and compliance.
• Conduct thorough legal research and translate into practical recommendations.
• Attend hearings, depositions, client meetings, and other proceedings as appropriate.
• Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, courts, experts, and third parties.
• Manage deadlines and multiple matters with attention to detail.
• Maintain timely time entries and uphold client service standards.
• Contribute to client relationships and firm growth.
