Job Title: Power BI Developer

Location: Remote

Job Status: Part- time (20-30hrs. week)

Position Summary:

Our client is seeking an experienced Power BI Developer to support our business intelligence and data visualization needs. This fully remote role will work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to design, build, and deploy interactive dashboards and reports that drive data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and publish Power BI reports and dashboards based on business requirements
• Translate raw data into meaningful insights using advanced DAX calculations and data modeling techniques
• Connect and integrate data from various sources including SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, and cloud services (e.g., Azure, Dynamics 365)
• Optimize report performance and ensure efficient data refresh and load times
• Work closely with business users to gather requirements, define KPIs, and iterate on design and functionality
• Implement row-level security and manage user access within Power BI
• Maintain documentation of BI solutions and provide user training as needed
• Collaborate with the data team to improve data quality, architecture, and governance

Minimum Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI development
• Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling principles
• Solid experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Azure SQL)
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud preferred)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
