The Challenge
- The Business Intelligence Platform Administrator within Client’s Information & Data Services (IDS) organization will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, monitoring, and upgrading our corporate business intelligence systems.
- This individual will work closely with business clients and IT team members to design robust and scalable BI and data delivery platforms.
What you'll do
- Enable platforms that maintain architectural integrity and high availability
- Learn business processes in departments like Sales, Finance, and HR to support their needs
- Onboard new systems and applications
- Upgrade existing applications
- Initiate and contribute to network and application security reviews
- Improve each platform by conceiving and implementing better processes
- Build sophisticated logical models and enable them for users in an intuitive fashion
- Assist end users with upgrade testing
- Train super users and power users on tool usage
- Coordinate development work with offshore team members and others
- Perform ongoing monitoring and refinement of tools and systems
- Work with the business solutions delivery team to ensure solutions are user-friendly
- Collaborate with multi-functional IT teams
Required Skills
- Extensive experience with various systems and technologies
- Proficiency with BI tools like Power BI and Tableau, and familiarity with applications like Collibra, Alteryx, Metric Insights, and SQL Server
- Proven track record as a BI system administrator
- Experience implementing Power BI solutions
- Strong understanding of Linux and Windows OS
- Knowledge of R, Python, Jupyter, or similar tools
- 5-7 years of IT experience with understanding of SDLC methodology
- Solid relational database skills with SQL experience
- Knowledge of data warehousing and dimensional modeling
- Experience with custom components like charting is a plus
- Experience with JAD/RAD/AGILE/Waterfall methodologies is a plus
- Ability to translate requirements into work efficiently
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, MS Project, Excel, and Visio
Education
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; Data Scientist experience preferred
