BI Lead – Pharma Data & Analytics

Contract Duration: 12 months

Location: Plainsboro, NJ (Hybrid – 3 days onsite/week)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced BI Lead to design, develop, and optimize data and analytics platforms for a leading pharmaceutical company. This role requires deep technical expertise and a consultative mindset to partner with business stakeholders and drive data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop high-performance BI and analytics solutions using Tableau, Qlik Sense/View, and Power BI.
• Utilize Snowflake, Informatica (PowerCenter & IICS), and modern visualization platforms.
• Lead data modeling efforts to support actionable analytics.
• Collaborate with business teams to create impactful BI solutions.
• Advise business stakeholders on leveraging data for business outcomes.
• Mentor data engineering and BI teams on best practices.
• Ensure data governance, quality, and performance optimization.
• Work hands-on to deliver critical solution components.
• Create architectural documentation and technical roadmaps.
• Present complex data concepts to technical and executive audiences.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, or Data Architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake optimization and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of Informatica PowerCenter and IICS.
• Expertise in SQL and Snowflake.
• Experience with pharma industry datasets like IQVIA, Komodo, and VEEVA.
• Ability to work across business and technical teams to drive analytics adoption.
• Strong consultative approach and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and lead from the front.
• Understanding of data governance and security frameworks in the pharma domain.

Key Expectations

• Proficiency in BI tools like Tableau, Qlik Sense/View, and Power BI.
• Familiarity with pharma commercial data sources and analytics use cases (nice to have).
• Strong consultative and stakeholder partnership skills.
• Knowledge of Informatica (IICS & PowerCenter) and Snowflake.
• Onsite availability at Plainsboro, NJ – 3 days per week.
