Job summary

Hornets Sports & Entertainment (HSE) seeks a Business Intelligence Intern to support the Revenue division with data-driven insights for ticketing, partnerships, and marketing strategy. You will craft dashboards in Tableau, validate datasets, and translate findings to stakeholders.

This paid, in-person internship runs during the 2026-2027 season, with 20–30 hours weekly at $15/hour. Eligible candidates are current students or graduates in relevant fields, with strong Excel and SQL skills, and an

Qualifications

• Graduate or current student pursuing a degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Interested in working in the sports industry, specifically within Business Intelligence.
• Male collegiate basketball players must have exhausted their NCAA eligibility before participating in the HSE internship program.

Responsibilities

• Support ongoing projects for Business Intelligence, Partnerships, Ticketing, Marketing, Mobile App and other areas of the business.
• Provide insights using data on consumer behavior, attitudes, demographics and more.
• Review and maintain current Tableau dashboards and optimize SQL queries.
• Assist with organizing, cleaning and managing data in CRM.
• Participate in the full internship program, including workshops, speaker series, job shadowing and working on an intern project.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
