We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Intelligence Engineer II to join our Humana Data & Analytics team – BI (Business Intelligence). The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining Power BI reports using Microsoft SQL Server to connect actions to data sources and reduce manual processes.

This position requires the ability to work independently, gather and analyze requirements from business partners, and deliver high-quality Business Intelligence solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop, implement, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards using multiple database sources.
2. Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders to design effective solutions.
3. Optimize and maintain SQL queries for performance and efficiency.
4. Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI and other BI tools.
5. Document processes, technical designs, and report configurations.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in SQL programming.
• Willingness to work EST business hours.
• At least 1 year of experience with Power BI or similar tools.
• Experience in using reporting solutions to solve business/data issues.
• Experience with Medicaid data is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Work-At-Home Requirements

• Minimum internet speeds of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload; wired connection recommended.
• Satellite, cellular, or microwave connections require leadership approval.
• Remote employees in CA, IL, MT, SD receive internet expense reimbursement.
• Humana provides necessary telephone equipment.
• Dedicated, interruption-free workspace required to protect PHI/HIPAA information.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
• Experience with Azure DevOps or similar tools.
• Experience working with multiple data sources.

Additional Information

• Occasional travel to Humana offices may be required.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Pay Range: $66,800 - $91,100 annually, based on location and experience. Eligible for performance-based bonus.
