Elevance Health is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Developer to participate in all phases of the design and development life cycle of analytic applications and reporting tools using BI platforms. The role emphasizes collaboration with customers, engineers, and the development team to deliver robust BI solutions.

You will mentor others, develop training materials, and lead small projects while maintaining a strong focus on delivering accurate data and actionable insights for business users.

Qualifications

• Requires a BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field and a minimum of 3 years experience on one BI platform or any combination that provides equivalent background.
• Experience with multiple BI tools, multi-database, multi-language or multi-business applications preferred.
• Experience leading people, small projects and providing troubleshooting support preferred.

• Mentors others on coding standards and assists in training documentation and knowledge transfer.
• Manages small projects and provides training to others; serves as SM BI SME.

Job description

Location: This role requires associates to be in-office 1-2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. Business Intelligence Developer Senior will be responsible for participating in all phases of the design and development life cycle of analytic applications and reporting tools, utilizing various BI technology platforms.

How You Will Make An Impact

• Maintains active relationships with customers to determine business requirements.
• Anticipates opportunities for improvement and identifies alternate solutions.
• Collaborates with engineers for creative ideas for Web portals supporting interactive content, analyzes and classifies complex change request and reviews and evaluates possible enhancements.
• Works with development team to develop and define application scope and objectives and prepare functional and/or technical specifications.
• Analyzes and evaluates detailed business and technical requirements.
• Codes and maintains complex components of information systems.
• Mentors others on coding standards and performs code reviews.
• Develops and performs system testing and fixes defects identified during testing and re-executes unit tests to validate results.
• Aids in integrating activities with other IT departments for successful implementation and support of project efforts.
• Provides timely support to data information planning effort.
• Maintains technical development environment and has responsibility for implementation plan.
• Assist in developing training documentation including proactive identification of additional needs and enhancements.
• Manages small projects, mentors and provides training to others.
• Subject matter expert of one or more Business Intelligence applications.

Minimum Requirements

Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 3 years experience on one platform, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities And Experiences

• Experience with multiple Business Intelligence tools, multi database, multi language or multi business application preferred strongly preferred.
