Job summary

Randstad Enterprise is seeking a BI Developer to analyze and report Power BI solutions, migrating SQL/Transact SQL to Databricks in a HIPAA-conscious environment. You will partner with Analysts, BI Solutions Developers and Data Engineers to port or build end-to-end solutions on Databricks.

Strong SQL and Databricks skills, plus healthcare domain knowledge, are essential to deliver reliable, compliant reporting.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of related experience in BI or data engineering.
• Experience migrating or porting SQL/Transact SQL to Databricks.
• Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and privacy practices.

Responsibilities

Job description

*Healthcare and Health Catalyst would be ideal experience*

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and Report: Analyze Power BI solutions business intelligence is currently importing data from Health Catalyst SQL Server. Partner with peers and customers on needs and requirements. Modify existing or create new solutions to use data stored in Databricks.
• Collaborate and Develop: Work closely on sprint teams with client's Analysts, BI Solutions Developers and Data Engineers to port or develop solutions that can be supported by them at the end of the project. This development will include migrating Transact SQL to Databricks (DB) SQL.
• Design and Code Reviews: Prepare for and participate in design and code reviews according to St Luke’s design standards.
• Test and Troubleshoot: Participate in testing methodologies, ensuring the functionality and integrity of our reporting solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve errors and solve complex technical problems.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to corporate policies and privacy regulations like HIPAA.

Experience/Skills:

• SQL Proficiency: 2+ years of writing SQL queries both in Transact SQL and DBSQL
• BI Tools: Strong development skills with Power BI connecting to Databricks
• Database Expertise: Familiarity with relational databases concepts and constructs in Microsoft SQL Server and Databricks.
• Domain Knowledge: Experience with health care and Health Catalyst a plus
• Communication/Collaboration: Speak up quickly when something is discovered, listen and work with others to solve problems, share lessons learned from prior migrations.
