Overview: Brooksource is seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our partner in a complete Medicaid system rebuild. The individual will be responsible for designing and implementing systems and processes that enable business users to leverage operational data for Business Intelligence (BI). This role involves the design of BI tools, analytics data integration, development of reports and dashboards, support of analytical queries, management of data archiving, and performing quality assurance of BI tools and reports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement systems and processes for operational data utilization in BI.
• Develop and maintain business intelligence tools and analytics data integration.
• Create and manage reports and dashboards to support business users.
• Support analytical queries and ensure data accuracy and availability.
• Manage data archiving processes and perform quality assurance on BI tools and reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide solutions.
• Ensure data integrity and security throughout the data lifecycle.
• Provide technical documentation and support for BI-related processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Must have recent Medicaid experience.
• Must have at least two (2) years’ experience in large automated system environments relative to the position.
• Minimum of four (4) years’ experience with large healthcare datasets, data warehousing, BI tools, analytics, and reporting.
• Experience with fiscal agent or MMIS operations in large-scale automated claims processing systems or other comparable systems is preferred.
• Proficiency in BI tools, data warehousing technologies, and analytics.
• Strong understanding of data flow, storage, and system architecture.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Medicaid data.
• Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools such as Tableau.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or R.
• Familiarity with data governance and data quality assurance practices.
• Strong communication skills and ability to document processes clearly.
