The BI & Analytics Analyst sits within the Advancement Operations division and reports directly to the AVP of Advancement Operations. This is a hands-on individual contributor role responsible for building, maintaining, and improving UMAF’s reporting and data assets.
The Analyst works primarily in Tableau and Snowflake, building dashboards and reports that give advancement staff and leadership reliable, reconciled data. They contribute to a self-serve reporting environment by supporting data documentation and data quality work across the team.
This role is a good fit for someone who cares about getting numbers right, can trace a figure back to its source, and finds satisfaction in turning messy data into something a non-technical person can act on. The right candidate asks “what are we actually trying to understand?” before writing the first query. They use AI tools as a natural part of their workflow, document as they go, and don’t stop at the surface answer when something doesn’t add up.
Advancement domain knowledge is useful but not required — strong analytical habits and business curiosity travel well across industries.
This is a full-time hybrid position and is open to employees in select US states: Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Jersey and New Hampshire.
UMAF is building and growing, and this position will support those efforts with other duties and projects as assigned from time to time.
