UCI Health is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to support Ambulatory Imaging Operations and provide system-wide analytic support for Imaging Services across all modalities, departments, and sites.

You will aggregate data from Strata, API, Genesys, and other sources and build standard and ad hoc reports and Power BI/Tableau dashboards covering productivity, volume, staffing, capacity, and financial performance.

• Working knowledge of business intelligence and data visualization tools, including Power BI and Tableau.
• Thorough knowledge of business intelligence functions, analytics, industry standards & best practices.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage complex information, assess problems, and develop effective solutions.
• Proficient knowledge of business and data process analysis functions.
• Must understand basic budget, billing, and cost accounting functions.
• Must have a working knowledge of Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) and Diagnosis (ICD-10) codes.
• Minimum 4 years' experience working in progressively more complex analytical roles
• Minimum 2 years of experience with healthcare operations data
• Experience aggregating and analyzing data from multiple source systems, such as Strata, API, and Genesys
• Excellent computer skills and experience with a proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Able to translate complex data and information and communicate it simply and effectively to constituents.
• Ability to perform basic performance tuning to optimize queries to meet user needs
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within the work unit and across the Health System
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, families, as well as internal and external stakeholders at all level across the health system
• 2 years of experience PowerBI and Tableau

Your Role on the Team

Position Summary:

The Business Intelligence Analyst supports Ambulatory Imaging Operations and provides system-wide analytic support for Imaging Services across all modalities, departments, and sites. Aggregates data from Strata, API, Genesys, and other source systems and builds standard and ad hoc reports and Power BI and Tableau dashboards covering productivity, volume, staffing, capacity, and financial performance. Serves as the data and analytics resource for the Imaging Services team, translating data into recommendations that support operational decisions. Partners with Finance, Revenue Cycle, and Information Services to ensure data validity and consistent metric definitions. In addition, is responsible for the accuracy and management of the Charge Data Master (CDM) (Rate Schedule) analysis and resolving billing and rate deck problems.

Required Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of business intelligence and data visualization tools, including Power BI and Tableau
• Thorough knowledge of business intelligence functions, analytics, industry standards & best practices
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage complex information, assess problems, and develop effective solutions
• Proficient knowledge of business and data process analysis functions
• Must understand basic budget, billing, and cost accounting functions
• Must possess the skill, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful completion of job duties
• Must have a working knowledge of Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) and Diagnosis (ICD-10) codes
• Must be familiar with all administrative aspects of Radiology, including Reception, Registration, Film Library, and the duties of technical staff in all modalities
• Minimum 4 years' experience working in progressively more complex analytical roles
• Minimum 2 years of experience with healthcare operations data
• Experience aggregating and analyzing data from multiple source systems, such as Strata, API, and Genesys
• Excellent computer skills and experience with a proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
• Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent education and experience
• Able to translate complex data and information and communicate it simply and effectively to constituents.
• Ability to perform basic performance tuning to optimize queries to meet user needs
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within the work unit and across the Health System
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, families, as well as internal and external stakeholders at all level across the health system
• 2 years of experience PowerBI and Tableau

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree
• Lean Six Sigma CertificationKnowledge of UCI policies and procedures
• Ability to read and understand HL7 interface language
