Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit seeks a Business Intelligence Analyst to transform laboratory, clinical, operational, and financial data into meaningful reports and actionable insights using SQL, Power BI, Crystal Reports, and Epic Cogito tools.

The role partners with pathology informatics, laboratory medicine, and revenue cycle teams to improve data quality and reporting capabilities, supports analytics initiatives, and translates data into strategic recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare, Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Applied Science
• OR an Associate's degree with 10 years of healthcare analyst experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
• 1–2 years of healthcare or business setting experience required.
• Experience with Enterprise Databases or shared data repositories.
• Experience with EMR report development.

This position supports Pathology Informatics, Laboratory Medicine, and Revenue Cycle analytics initiatives by transforming laboratory, clinical, operational, and financial data into meaningful reports and actionable insights. The ideal candidate possesses a clinical laboratory background and experience working with Epic reporting and billing data, preferably within a laboratory environment. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining reports, dashboards, and data extracts using SQL, Power BI, Crystal Reports, and Epic Cogito tools; supporting laboratory operational and billing analytics; and partnering with laboratory, informatics, revenue cycle, and Epic application teams to improve data quality, reporting capabilities, and business performance. Candidates with Epic Cogito certifications (Clarity and/or Caboodle), Epic HB/PB experience, Beaker familiarity, and a strong understanding of laboratory workflows and healthcare analytics are strongly preferred.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• One to two (1-2) years of healthcare or business setting experience required.
• Experience in the use of any Enterprise Databases or shared data repository.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Record System (EMR) report development.
