Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit seeks a Business Intelligence Analyst to transform laboratory, clinical, operational, and financial data into meaningful reports and actionable insights using SQL, Power BI, Crystal Reports, and Epic Cogito tools.

The role partners with pathology informatics, laboratory medicine, and revenue cycle teams to improve data quality and reporting capabilities, supports analytics initiatives, and translates data into strategic recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare, Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Applied Science
• OR an Associate's degree with 10 years of healthcare analyst experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
• 1–2 years of healthcare or business setting experience required.
• Experience with Enterprise Databases or shared data repositories.
• Experience with EMR report development.

Responsibilities

• Partner cross-functionally to build and champion a data-driven mindset across the organization
• Hunt down, organize, and analyze data to uncover meaningful insights and trends
• Craft compelling routine and ad-hoc reports that tell the story behind the numbers
• Translate data into clear, actionable recommendations that drive strategic goals and operational excellence
• Design and roll out new or improved reporting processes that make life easier for your customers
• Rise to the challenge of complex analytical requests while keeping deadlines in sight
• Present data-driven insights to diverse audiences with clarity and confidence
• Collaborate with your manager and senior team members to ensure every deliverable is timely and top-notch
• Flex your analytical and problem-solving muscles daily
• Maintain sharp attention to detail while juggling multiple priorities
