Job summary

The U.S. Bankruptcy Court - District of CT is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst who will be responsible for setting up and maintaining Power BI platforms. This position requires a Master's in a relevant field and at least two years of experience. The Analyst will work closely with stakeholders, manage data quality, and provide training on the use of various Microsoft tools, including Power BI and PowerApps. Candidates must be able to telecommute from any location within the U.S.

Job description

Business Intelligence Analyst (Edison, NJ & able to telecommute from any location within the US) Duties: Setup and automate Power BI platform related activities using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, Shell scripting. Responsible for developing and maintaining Power BI Apps and Reports according to business requirements. Develop PowerApps integrated with data sources in the SharePoint, internal SQL databases, and/or Azure cloud data sources. Deployment, maintenance and updating of Power BI Apps, Reports and Datasets. Work with stakeholders to develop and maintain consistency across Apps and reports. Maintain data resources, including databases, cloud storage, data sets and data models. Create and monitor data integrations using Azure Data Factory. Create documentation, catalog, and maintain ICBA Global Data Dictionary. Build CI/CD pipeline to check in and migrate Power BI data sets, dashboards, reports between workspaces utilizing Power BI Rest APIs/Power Platform. Build framework to capture Power BI user tracking, logging, usage monitoring, anomalies detection in published data sets and reporting at an enterprise level using Power Platform. Build framework that can be used to take regular backup of workspace content and data sets using Power BI Rest APIs/PBI cmdlets. Data Analysis using SQL on data sources. Provide project management and oversight of activities related to data. Work with business to understand and manage requirements delivery. Find trends in data to develop algorithms to make raw data more useful to the enterprise. Use large data sets to address business issues. Prepare data for predictive and prescriptive modeling. Articulate data and data structures to both IT and business. Provide timely reports to all stakeholders as required. Build solutions and frameworks with BI/Data Visualization tools like Cognos and Qlik sense. Analyze requirements and build BI applications according to specifications using various tools and technologies including SQL, cloud-based data platforms GCP (Google Cloud Platform), Azure (Microsoft), AWS (Amazon), DWBI data modeling techniques. Identify and communicate key insights to the leadership team based on data and analysis. Work closely with BI team to provide input on appropriate solutions to meet business requirements, consistent with current reporting standards and processes. Assist in managing Power BI Licensing and access control. Monitor and assist with technical tickets related to data and reporting requests related to PowerApps. Provide training for staff on the use of Power BI, PowerApps and Power Automate. Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality. Manage project timelines and deliverables.

Required: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Analytics or related field plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or related position.

Must have 2 years of experience with: Design and implementation of data warehousing solutions; Data Modeling; ETL processes to extract, transform and load data from various sources into data warehouses; Developing BI Reports and Dashboards. Able to telecommute from any location within the US.
