Summary:
The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst supports the BI development team in creating and maintaining self-service reporting tools that meet analytical needs across various functional areas.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with end users to define requirements and scope for BI projects and enhancements, ensuring clear communication between end users and developers. Tasks include:
- Participating in meetings with end users.
- Documenting requirements clearly and concisely.
- Acting as a liaison during development, maintaining open communication.
Assist end users during testing phases by:- Coordinating testing sessions and guiding users on testing BI solutions.
- Documenting testing results and communicating issues to developers.
- Working with the Enterprise Data Warehouse manager to obtain final testing approval.
Ensure BI development aligns with data governance standards by:- Documenting metric definitions.
- Applying naming standards to BI fields.
- Coordinating with Data Governance to resolve related issues.
Create and maintain documentation on policies, standards, and best practices.Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills.Show organizational skills and responsiveness.Maintain ongoing education relevant to the role.Perform other duties as required.Additional Information:
Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software.
- Experience with data visualization, data analysis, SQL, Epic's Caboodle and Clarity data models, data mining, statistical analysis, and forecasting is preferred.
- Experience working across organizational levels and in healthcare is preferred.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business, IT, analytics, or a related field is required.
- Epic Clarity and/or Caboodle certification is preferred.
- Approximately 5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
Work Details:
- Full-time position, 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
- Remote work arrangement.
