Job Description

The Business Information Security Officer (BISO) will be a key member of the BISO organization, working closely with the Global Banking and Markets (GBAM) CIOs/CTOs to develop a deep understanding of the business and engage in specialized, risk-based information security discussions. This role ensures alignment on risk priorities and acts as a day-to-day point of contact for guidance on information security policies, controls, and topics, ultimately serving as a trusted advisor to stakeholders.

The BISO serves as a subject matter expert in the development, implementation, and maintenance of information security strategies for the line of business (LOB). The role involves advising LOB management on security risks, prioritizing security investments, and supporting the bank’s broader risk management and compliance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide advisory and oversight for security-related changes within the GBAM environment, collaborating with regional and global teams.
2. Support risk teams by developing processes and solutions related to information security.
3. Coordinate with the global BISO organization to ensure effective communication and tracking of GIS requirements and initiatives.
4. Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders and partners.
5. Conduct liaison activities to remediate GIS issues, especially those flagged as red or amber on dashboards.
6. Drive remediation efforts for GIS issues, assisting partners in achieving resolution aligned with standards.

Required Skills

• Experience in an operational, engineering, or consulting role within information security, with solid knowledge of security controls and processes for systems and networks.
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate, influence, and negotiate with senior stakeholders.

Desirable Skills

• Experience in a mid to senior-level technology or financial organization, with knowledge of Application Security controls and risks.
• Understanding of vulnerability management, monitoring solutions, and practices.
• Experience with formal security risk assessment methodologies.
• Technical understanding of Technology Infrastructure operations.
• Previous experience in a financial institution.
• Ability to prioritize work independently and manage a portfolio.
• Excellent communication skills for delivering messages and resolving issues.
• Teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Ability to produce and present management reports effectively.

Pay Range: $98,200 - $146,600 annually, based on experience and skills.
