Mountain River Physical Therapy in Wellsburg, WV is seeking a full-time Business Development Specialist who thrives on relationship-building and field-based outreach to grow provider partnerships and increase patient referrals across the Wellsburg area.

This role focuses on coordinating with physicians, referral coordinators, and hospital systems, while developing territory plans, tracking trends, and driving community engagement to support clinic growth.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in physician liaison work, healthcare marketing, medical sales, provider relations, or business development.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant clinical/healthcare experience.
• Experience using Microsoft Office; CRM experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with social media and digital marketing tools is helpful.

• Build productive relationships with physicians, referral coordinators, case managers, hospital systems, and other healthcare partners.
• Develop and execute a territory outreach plan focused on increasing awareness and patient referrals.
• Identify new referral opportunities and strengthen relationships with existing provider offices.

Overview

Mountain River Physical Therapy, part of the Confluent Health family, is seeking a relationship-driven FULL-TIME Business Development Specialist to grow provider partnerships and increase patient referrals throughout the Wellsburg and greater area.

This is a field-based role for someone who enjoys building relationships, representing a healthcare brand in the community, and turning outreach efforts into measurable referral growth.

Qualifications

Preferred but not Required Experience

• 1- 2 years of experience in physician liaison work, healthcare marketing, medical sales, provider relations, community outreach, or business development.
• Bachelor’s degree (not required but a plus) or relevant clinical or healthcare experience preferred!
• Experience using Microsoft Office; CRM experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with social media and digital marketing tools is helpful.

Additional Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel throughout the Wilmington territory.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
• Commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
• High School Diploma/ GED
