Job Title: Business Development Representative - Simplebid JOC Program

At FOS, it's all about the people. We're constantly growing, and we're excited to offer a new opportunity for a Business Development Representative to join our team. This role focuses on the West region of the United States, with consideration given to candidates in WA, OR, CA, MT, ID, NV, WY, UT, AZ, CO, and NM. Preference may be given to candidates able to work from one of CannonDesign's locations.

The Business Development Representative will assist the Simplebid Regional Account Executives and Director of Sales in identifying new client opportunities, building and maintaining relationships, and supporting the sales team to exceed targets.

The ideal candidate has experience in sales, sales management, business development, and relationship building. Experience in construction and/or public agency procurement is highly preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:
  1. Focus on our Simplebid JOC software platform, leveraging your network, FOS of CannonDesign's client base, and lead development strategies to build relationships with key clients.
  2. Identify target clients through research and lead generation.
  3. Collaborate with other leaders in the firm to develop new client relationships.
  4. Personally identify new sales opportunities to support our sales pipeline.
  5. Gather intelligence on potential opportunities to position FOS of CannonDesign effectively.
  6. Participate in developing and coaching client-facing presentations, and sometimes deliver these presentations.
  7. Work with other business development professionals on marketing and development activities.
  8. Generate qualified leads, strategize next steps, and participate in client engagement planning and pursuit execution, including proposal development.
Requirements:
  1. 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  2. Industry experience and a network within public construction and procurement preferred.
  3. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred.
  4. Experience with CRM software platforms.
  5. Proven ability in relationship development and lead generation.
  6. Experience in sales, business development, and relationship building.
  7. Construction and/or public agency procurement experience is highly preferred.
  8. Strong communication and presentation skills.
  9. Effective communication that is authentic and respectful.
  10. Willingness to travel as needed.
Benefits & Compensation:

The salary range is $79,100 to $98,900 annually, with potential commissions and discretionary bonuses.
