Michael’s House is currently seeking a talented and dynamic Business Development Representative to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals!

*Monday-Friday, dayshift

*Travel Expectation: 95%-100%

*Desired Territory: Northern California; i.e., Oakland, CA, San Francisco, CA, San Jose, CA, Monterey, CA

*At least 1 year of experience in Behavioral Health/Healthcare experience required.

Position Summary:

The Business Development Representative reports to the Business Development Director and serves as the liaison between the facility, the community, and referring individuals or organizations. The Business Development Representative is responsible for promoting the facility’s services through the effective application of ethical marketing principles and sales methods. Schedule is based on departmental and facility needs and may include day, evening, weekend and holiday hours, as directed by the Business Development Director. This position is remote.

Qualifications

Qualifications:


Education: High school diploma, GED or equivalent is required. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field is preferred. Additional, directly-related and verifiable experience (beyond the three-year minimum required below) may be evaluated on a case-by-case basis in lieu of a degree on a year-for-year basis.

Experience:

  • Three years of marketing and/or sales, referral development, account management, sales growth and/or physician relationship-building experience within a behavioral health or addiction treatment setting is highly preferred. A minimum of one year of such experience is required.
  • Knowledge of Employee Assistance Programs is preferred.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
  • Mental health licensure and/or Alcohol or Other Drug Certification in is preferred.

Knowledge:


Demonstrable knowledge of behavioral health and addiction services marketplace, insurance plans, target markets and referral sources, psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment and, age-specific programming is highly preferred. Must possess demonstrated business development concepts, sales abilities, competency in computer usage, and excellent written and oral communication skills; knowledge of and skills in application of marketing and sales principles; creativity and flexibility; skills in data collection analysis and interpretation; record of adherence to deadlines; customer service skills; willingness to travel, including overnight travel as required.
