Job summary

Trinity Logistics is seeking a Business Development Representative for the Kansas State University segment. You will start in inside sales, making cold calls and pursuing leads to ship with Trinity, while building a book of business and eventually managing accounts to continually service transportation needs.

You can expect uncapped commission on top of a base salary, with opportunities for advancement within a team-focused environment in Kansas City.

Qualifications

• Superior interpersonal and communication skills; problem solving and decision making.
• Previous experience in a customer facing role preferred but not required.
• Experience in logistics preferred but not required.
• Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business data and reports, as well as write reports and professional business correspondence.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with CRM and BI systems helpful and generally strong computer skills.
• Ability to learn new software and computer systems.
• Disciplined organizational and multi-tasking skills with attention to detail.
• Demonstrates the ability to connect with others to create openness and trust in relationships.

Responsibilities

• Inside sales: cold calling and pursuing leads to ship with Trinity.
• Build and manage a book of business, evolving into the account manager for customers.
• Provide ongoing service to customers' transportation needs and opportunities for upselling.
