Job summary

Zoom is seeking a Commercial BDR who will identify buyers, test strategies, and drive revenue growth within a fast-maturing market. You’ll own outbound prospecting across a high-volume account portfolio using email, phone, and LinkedIn, and collaborate with Commercial Account Executives to ensure qualified handoffs.

You will research accounts, craft insight-driven messages, test and refine outreach while tracking performance to improve conversion rates in a structured hybrid work environment.

We are building pipeline at scale in a market that's rapidly maturing. As a Commercial BDR, you will identify buyers, test strategies, and drive revenue growth.

This role requires proactive engagement, continuous improvement, and ownership of activities. You will directly shape our market approach within the Commercial segment.

About the Team

Common Room is an AI platform that consolidates buyer signals into one view, enabling teams to identify targets, craft messages, and determine timing effectively.

Supported by over $50M in funding from investors like Greylock, Index, and Madrona, Common Room is now part of Zoom Revenue Accelerator (ZRA).

Responsibilities

• Driving outbound pipeline generation across a high-volume account portfolio through focused prospecting using email, phone, and LinkedIn.
• Conducting in-depth research and formulating a clear hypothesis outlining how Common Room resolves a particular business issue for the prospect.
• Testing messaging, analyzing effectiveness, and applying insights across prospect lists ensuring consistent improvement in conversion rates.
• Managing a dynamic pipeline with effective time prioritization—organizing tasks across a diverse account base and advancing leads through the funnel efficiently.

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrate strength in BDR tasks with proficiency in outbound fundamentals, including prospecting, addressing objections, and successfully scheduling meetings.
• Operate effectively in a dynamic setting while maintaining consistent quality and adhering to standards, even when managing high levels of activity.
• Understand how to research an account deeply and craft a relevant, insight-driven message tailored to their specific business context.
• Demonstrate proficiency with sales engagement platforms such as Outreach or Salesloft and CRM tools like Salesforce or HubSpot.
• Treat data and performance metrics as inputs to improve — you track what's working and adjust quickly.
• Thrive in a dynamic environment where you own your results and don't wait to be told what to do next.

Compensation:

Approximately 65,000−120,000 OTE annually, based on a standard 40-hour work week. This is a non-exempt position eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable law.

Salary Range or On Target Earnings:

Minimum:

$31.00

Maximum:

$58.22

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations
