The Role of a Business Development Representative at Canonical

We consider our sales development organization to be a top technology sales academy, selecting exceptional and ambitious candidates. Success in this role requires organization, persistence, charisma, and a strong interest in tech and its business implications. You will work with regional sales and marketing teams to find customer projects that fit our product lines and promote Canonical across industries and geographies.

Responsibilities
  1. Execute outbound sales & marketing campaigns
  2. Research prospective customers and market trends
  3. Generate high-quality leads for senior sales staff
  4. Own and close SMB opportunities in your territory
  5. Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to drive results
  6. Help define team processes and policies
  7. Travel to events and conferences worldwide to present and generate opportunities
Candidate Requirements
  • Success in SDR or outbound sales, exceeding quotas and growing pipelines
  • Experience engaging with senior executives to identify opportunities
