Position Overview:

Mariner is seeking a driven, results-orientedBusiness Development Representative (BDR)to join our sales team. This role is critical in identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities for our full suite of 4PL services. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with prospective clients, understanding their supply chain needs, and delivering tailored logistics solutions that align with their goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan targeting mid-to-large-sizedbusinesses.
  • Generate and qualify leads through cold outreach, networking, industry events, and referrals.
  • Sell Mariner’s comprehensive 4PL offerings: warehousing, managed transportation, international logistics, asset-based services, and freight brokerage.
  • Conduct discovery calls, present customized proposals, and negotiate contracts.
  • Collaborate with internal operations, marketing, and account management teams to ensure seamless onboarding and service delivery.
  • Maintain CRM records and report on pipeline development, forecasting, and performance metrics.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of sales experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation (4PL/3PL experience highly preferred).
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain operations and logistics services.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-starter with a hunter mentality and a passion for problem-solving.
