Job summary

UES, a national leader in geotechnical engineering, environmental consulting, and materials testing, seeks a Business Development Sales Representative to generate new opportunities and expand client relationships. The role collaborates with operations, marketing, and technical teams to promote environmental and earth sciences solutions.

The position is on-site in Riverside, California, with travel of about 10–20% and a Bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years in marketing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of experience in a marketing discipline (or equal combination).
• Ability to foster and maintain good relationships at all levels, with prior supervisory experience.
• Comfort with industry technologies, as well as standard office and collaboration software.
• Demonstrated business acumen and the ability to deliver and communicate goals, programs, and solutions.
• Highly adaptable with exceptional listening, reading, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute sales goals set by the Branch Manager and Regional Sales Manager and use these as guidelines for daily sales activities.
• Support the sales and marketing teams.
• Generate sales that meet company margin objectives by identifying leads, referrals, and add-on opportunities.
• Ensure lead times and communication quality are maintained to control and plan workflows effectively.
• Use sales reporting and planning tools to manage time and sales efforts efficiently.
• Maintain field presence with new and existing clients to support sales and customer development and cultivate referral business.
• Assist with proposal preparation, follow-up on proposals, and complete RFPs and vendor application requests.
