Business Development Representative

AHF Products has a remote job opportunity for a Business Development Representative covering Arkansas / Louisiana. The role involves actively seeking and engaging customer prospects, cultivating relationships, and creating growth opportunities for Armstrong Flooring, Crossville Tile & AHF Contract. The representative will develop strategies to target potential clients, promote AHF products, increase revenue, and build goodwill in the market. The role requires in-field travel of 75-80%.

Job Duties:
  1. Build and manage relationships with End Users, Architects/Interior Designers, Flooring Contractors, and other key buyers to establish trust and develop sales partnerships.
  2. Research customer needs and adjust sales tactics accordingly.
  3. Present, promote, and sell company products and services to influence specifications and product selection.
  4. Identify new service opportunities to grow existing accounts and strengthen relationships.
  5. Reach out to new customers via networking, social media, and cold calling.
  6. Engage in external networks to gather market intelligence.
  7. Implement marketing campaigns, events, and sponsorships to increase brand awareness and sales.
  8. Collaborate during the specification and order process, ensuring successful project implementation.
  9. Assist clients with budgeting, prepare and submit bids for approval.
  10. Provide sales forecasts and utilize CRM for customer data management.
  11. Support management in strategic planning and product improvement initiatives.
Job Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  2. Experience in outside sales with a diverse client base.
  3. Flooring product knowledge preferred.
  4. Successful track record selling to large corporate clients.
  5. Knowledge of specifications, design, and construction phases.
  6. Strong understanding of construction, real estate, and job site conditions.
Physical Demands:
  • Stand for long periods, lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Frequent vision required; work in various weather and noisy/dusty environments.
  • Primarily office environment.
Mental Demands:
  • Analytical thinking, decision making, developing solutions.
  • Teamwork, punctuality, attention to detail, effective communication.
  • Multitasking, working with urgency, flexibility in a dynamic environment.
Travel:
  • Extensive travel by car and air for training and events.
