AHF Products has a job opportunity for a Business Development Representative to work remotely. This role's territory will be in Arkansas / Louisiana. The Business Development Representative will be responsible for actively seeking, engaging customer prospects, and cultivating relationships to create and grow opportunities for Armstrong Flooring, Crossville Tile & AHF Contract business. The role involves establishing strategies to target potential clients and customers, positioning the appropriate AHF product solutions, increasing revenue, customer acquisition, and profitability, while creating goodwill in the market. The role also involves creating specifications within the Architect/Design community, End-users, and Flooring Contractors. This position requires 75-80% in-field travel.

Job Duties

  • Build and manage relationships with End Users, Architects/Interior Designers, Flooring Contractors, and other key buyers to establish trust and develop ongoing sales partnerships.
  • Research purchase needs and adjust sales tactics accordingly.
  • Present, promote, and sell the company's products and services to influence specifications and product selection.
  • Identify new service opportunities to grow existing accounts and strengthen relationships.
  • Reach out to new customers through networking, social media, and cold calling.
  • Develop and engage in networks outside of Parterre to obtain market intelligence.
  • Create and execute marketing campaigns, events, and sponsorships to increase brand awareness and achieve sales goals.
  • Collaborate with customer support and management during the specification and order process; communicate project details for successful implementation.
  • Assist clients with budgeting; prepare and submit pricing and bids.
  • Prepare sales projections and forecasts for team planning.
  • Use CRM to update customer profiles and contacts.
  • Assist in establishing annual, quarterly, and monthly sales strategies and plans.
  • Identify product voids or areas for improvement.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in outside sales calling on a varied client base.
  • Flooring product knowledge preferred.
  • Proven success selling to large corporate clients.
  • Knowledge of specifications, design, and project phases.
  • Strong understanding of construction, real estate, and job site conditions.

  • Stand for long periods, lift up to 20 pounds, and work in various environmental conditions.
  • Work in an office environment frequently.
  • Think analytically, make decisions, develop options, and work with a team.
  • Maintain punctuality, attention to detail, and effective communication.
  • Multitask in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency and flexibility.

Travel

  • Extensive travel by car and air for training and events.
