Responsibilities:

  • Build and execute on sales strategies to meet or exceed annual sales goals and targets that align with the company’s vision and objectives.
  • Work with sales colleagues and other internal stakeholders to drive the sales process from beginning to end by identifying and qualifying prospects, initiating new sales activity, and managing sales cycles to closure.
  • Lead the development of business within assigned territories. Partner with Product Specialists, Industry Practice Leads, and Solution Specialists to develop clear, concise proposals and deliver targeted demos to prospective customers that address their needs.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Product Strategy to promote improvement in product quality and the development of new sources of revenue.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients by identifying gaps and recommending solutions leveraging market and technical knowledge.
  • Provide insightful and client-specific customer service and product overviews.
  • Assess the needs of the client by understanding their specific issues based on their business requirements.
  • Identify additional products and services that benefit clients and introduce them appropriately into dialogue.
  • Act as the market expert and provide product/service use cases during the sales cycle.
  • Serve as the main liaison between the client service team, the client, and the implementation services organization on each services opportunity before handing off to Customer Success Managers.
  • Coordinate Moody's Analytics responses to requests for product and services information from prospects.
  • Represent the company at industry and sponsored events, as required.
  • Resolve client issues through interpersonal skills, and assist in market insight circulation to create awareness of Moody's expertise internally and externally.
  • Assist in training new team members.
  • Provide current forecasts and pipeline information to management.
  • This role requires travel (approximately 20% to 40%).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with coursework in business, economics, finance, marketing, or related fields preferred.
  • 10+ years’ experience in B2B sales roles serving Corporate & Professional Services segments (e.g., Energy, Healthcare, Retail, etc.).
  • Understanding of industry market dynamics and business drivers.
  • Ability to present high-level and detailed product demonstrations.
  • Proven ability to lead complex sales cycles using consultative techniques.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to interact with senior executives internally and externally.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team, with high attention to detail.

For US-based roles: the expected salary range is $112,000 - $162,400, depending on experience and other factors. This role is eligible for incentives and comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, paid leave, 401(k), and more.
