Business Development Manager – Academy Locksmith

Location: Greater Dallas, TX (Remote Considered for Top Candidates)

Position Overview

Academy Locksmith is a premier provider of locksmith, door, and access control solutions, specializing in repair and maintenance services for facility management aggregators, national retailers, banks, restaurants, grocers, and government entities.

We are seeking a high-energy, aggressive hunter to drive new business, land major national accounts, and expand our project work presence. This role is an individual contributor focused on prospecting, selling, and closing deals in a high-growth environment.

The ideal candidate is a relentless prospector, a strong closer, and an expert in consultative selling. Industry experience is a plus, but eagerness to learn about locks, doors, and access control hardware is essential to effectively sell both service and product offerings. Experience with HubSpot CRM is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  1. New Business Development & Sales Execution:
  2. Manage the full sales cycle—from prospecting to closing—targeting facility management aggregators, national retailers, banks, restaurants, grocers, and government clients.
  3. Develop and implement cold outreach strategies via calls, emails, and LinkedIn.
  4. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities in HubSpot.
  5. Present repair, maintenance, and hardware solutions to decision-makers.
  6. Negotiate and close high-value contracts, consistently exceeding sales quotas.
  1. Project Sales & Public Bids (Growth Focus):
  2. Identify project-based sales opportunities with both new and existing customers.
  3. Collaborate with internal teams to pursue public bid opportunities and develop strategic proposals.
  4. Expand Academy Locksmith’s footprint in project work, both directly and through bid processes.
  5. Stay informed on industry trends in facility maintenance, security, and access control.
  6. Maintain strong relationships with key industry decision-makers.
  7. Provide feedback on market conditions, pricing, and competitive landscape to leadership.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Proven success as a "hunter" in B2B sales, with a track record of exceeding targets.
  • At least 3 years of experience selling to facility management, retail, banking, restaurant, grocery, or government sectors (national accounts preferred).
  • Experience or familiarity with locks, doors, access control, or related industries is a plus.
  • Ability to quickly learn and confidently sell lock, door, and access control solutions.
  • Strong consultative selling skills and focus on building long-term customer relationships.
  • Highly competitive, self-motivated, and goal-oriented.
  • Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM tools for pipeline management.
