Job description

Role Overview:

The Business Development Manager will play a key role in increasing the impact of the ANA’s nutrition education programs. This position requires a blend of sales acumen and the ability to cultivate partnerships. The position offers an hourly rate plus the opportunity for additional compensation based on meeting performance goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to promote and sell nutrition education programs to health professionals and relevant organizations.
  • Identify and engage prospective clients, including health professionals, corporate clients, and educational institutions.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with existing clients to ensure ongoing program engagement and identify upselling opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand the full range of programs and offerings to communicate their value effectively to potential clients.
  • Track sales activities, client interactions, and revenue generation, providing regular progress reports to management.
  • Attend in-person events to represent the ANA and our programs. Travel expected to be less than 10%.
  • Attend virtual trainings to stay informed about the latest developments in our educational programs.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in educational, healthcare, or nonprofit sectors.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and meet sales targets.
  • Passion for nutrition, wellness, and professional development in the healthcare sector.
  • Comfortable working on a contract basis with variable compensation tied to sales success.
  • Ability to work remotely and manage time effectively.

Compensation:

  • Hourly rate for time spent prospecting, client interaction, and other sales activities.
  • Additional compensation tied to performance, including commission on successful program sales and engagement in philanthropic initiatives.
