Business Development Manager
Location: The ideal location for the Business Development Manager is Ohio, with strong consideration also given to Central Canada (Toronto or Montreal), Michigan, or Buffalo. If based in Ohio, the role will include both Ohio and Canadian responsibilities; otherwise, the focus will be primarily on supporting the Canadian business, with U.S. responsibilities tailored to the candidate's location.

Your Impact
As a Business Development Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in driving sustainable revenue growth by identifying, developing, and expanding profitable distribution partnerships. You'll be the face of our core and specialty product lines, creating powerful connections that result in long-term value for our customers and measurable success for our company. Your strategic approach to business development and account management will help shape our market presence and contribute directly to our top-line results.
What You'll Be Doing
- Drive Revenue Growth: Achieve annual TPM targets by selling core and specialty products through both new and existing distribution partners.
- Develop New Business: Create and manage a robust sales pipeline, generating at least four new high-impact opportunities per year.
- Strategic Account Management: Set and achieve account-specific sales targets, submit quarterly sales updates, and manage performance-based rebate programs.
- Execute Sales Campaigns: Launch and manage a minimum of two promotional campaigns per year to drive incremental sales and market penetration.
- Deliver Sales Excellence: Maintain top-tier customer support, provide timely responses, and present updates to executive leadership during quarterly sales meetings.
- Market Insight & Forecasting: Offer strategic insights and accurate sales forecasts to inform the annual budget planning process.
- Effective Territory Management: Conduct regular account visits (Tier 1: every 4–6 weeks; Tier 2: every 8 weeks) and participate in bi-weekly sales updates and calls.
- Be a Brand Ambassador: Lead by example with a positive attitude, team collaboration, and commitment to excellence — always striving to be a top sales performer.
What You'll Bring
- Proven track record in business development, B2B sales, or account management, preferably in a distribution or manufacturing environment
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with a consultative sales approach
- Demonstrated ability to develop and manage a strategic sales pipeline
- Analytical mindset with experience in forecasting, sales reporting, and performance tracking
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and highly organized with exceptional time management skills
- Willingness to travel for in-person account visits and industry events
- A collaborative, solution-oriented mindset and passion for delivering customer value
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
