About the Role

As Uber continues to expand its services and technologies globally, the Business Development team is seeking a highly strategic and results-driven dealmaker to grow strategic product partnerships designed to drive scale with our most valuable merchant and corporate partners.

In this role, you will be responsible for both shaping the strategy and leading the execution of partnerships that span across sectors, including Uber Eats, Uber Direct, Uber for Business, and other key verticals to drive Uber’s growth and innovation.

What You’ll Do:
  • Identify and evaluate strategic partnership opportunities across various sectors, with a focus on high-impact collaborations that drive business growth.
  • Lead end-to-end partnership processes, from initial outreach and business case development to contract negotiations and implementation.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams - Corporate Development, Product, Finance, Compliance, Policy, Marketing, Operations, Legal & Engineering to ensure partnership strategies align with overall business goals and drive value.
  • Develop and present strategic deal analytics, competitive research, and market insights to guide business decision-making and shape partnership strategies.
  • Support and contribute to the overall BD team’s efforts by driving operational excellence and assisting in key deals or projects that require team collaboration.
  • Own and cultivate partnerships that you will manage independently, ensuring long-term success through proactive relationship management and performance monitoring.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills across all channels (written, verbal, presentations, and negotiations) to effectively influence stakeholders and secure alignment at all levels of the organization.
  • Be results-driven and comfortable navigating ambiguity, proactively bringing clarity and structure to complex or undefined situations to drive tangible outcomes.
  • Confidently engage with senior internal and external executives, building strong relationships and representing Uber’s strategic interests with key decision-makers.
  • Be technically savvy, with a working knowledge of API integrations and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and product teams to ensure seamless integration of partnerships.
  • Enjoy problem-solving and finding joy in puzzles, bringing creativity and an inquisitive mindset to unravel complex challenges, while working with large, cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Basic Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience, ideally in business development, which may include management consulting, public-private partnerships, government affairs, or commercial development.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Working knowledge of API integrations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years of business development experience.
  • Proactive, self-directed, and adaptable: thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Analytical mindset with a proven ability to leverage insights and data to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Experience with restaurants and/or restaurant technology is a bonus!
  • Experience working with enterprise platform partners and understanding of partner-centric go-to-market approach.
  • Experience with establishing, maintaining, and leveraging C-level relationships at partner companies.
  • Proven track record of building and executing commercial deals and complex partnerships.
  • Ability to fuse business, strategy, finance, and legal concepts to lead complex, multi-faceted deals.
  • A track record of complex problem solving, attention to detail, and delivering results cross-functionally.
  • Clear communicator, team orientated, and willing to take initiative while thinking two steps ahead.
  • Inquisitiveness, along with the ability to spot issues, get to the heart of a matter, and articulate plans to address them.
  • Passionate about your work and a desire to have a big impact.
  • Embody the highest standards of integrity, ethics and accountability.
  • Enthusiasm about Uber and our mission!

You may be eligible for bonuses, equity, and other compensation, as well as a range of benefits.
