Business Development Manager (Law Firm/Transactional & Advisory)
SourcePro Search, LLC is seeking a Business Development Manager with a minimum of five years of experience in marketing or business development within a law firm, specifically with Transactional & Advisory Group experience.
Compensation: $145,000 - $160,000 per year. Actual pay depends on skills and experience.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with practice-area partners to develop and execute business development strategies aligned with the firm’s goals.
- Advise partners on increasing their practice visibility and achieving business objectives.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including internal cross-marketing and joint initiatives.
- Maintain knowledge of key clients, market trends, and competitive landscape.
- Develop relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Coordinate knowledge sharing among colleagues to enhance practice understanding and client service standards.
- Keep pitch content and client information current and accessible.
- Plan and execute business development events, such as speaking engagements and conferences.
- Serve as the primary contact for marketing needs of partners.
- Mentor junior team members in business development activities.
- Manage branding and profile-raising campaigns, including press releases and social media strategies.
- Oversee practice group awards and rankings submissions, including Chambers and other publications.
- Assist in preparing responses to RFPs and client meetings, and collaborate on fee arrangements.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in marketing/business development, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
- Proven success in previous roles and client relationship management.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, and manage multiple projects.
- Strategic thinking and understanding of marketing and communication strategies.
- Professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills.
