Description

HealthWorks Medical, LLC is seeking a high-performing Business Development Manager – Government Health Sector to lead strategic growth initiatives within the federal contracting space. This fully remote, part-time opportunity is ideal for an experienced GOV CON professional with a strong network and a passion for federal health solutions. The role is 100% commission-based, offering a highly competitive and aggressive commission structure with no minimum hour requirements and maximum schedule flexibility.

This role is performance-driven and entrepreneurial, focused on securing government contracts for occupational health services including onsite medical programs, telehealth, mobile testing, compliance solutions, and more. Weekly and monthly virtual syncs with the leadership team are required, but beyond that, your schedule is your own.

What You’ll Do:

  • Federal Market Growth
    • Identify and pursue contract opportunities with agencies such as the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Energy (DOE), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and Veterans Affairs (VA).
    • Build and manage a qualified pipeline of opportunities through proactive outreach, relationship development, and proposal capture.
  • Capture Strategy & Proposal Support
    • Collaborate with leadership to craft compelling proposals, teaming strategies, and pricing structures.
    • Draft capability statements and support bid submissions through government portals such as SAM.gov.
  • Teaming & Relationship Development
    • Establish strong working relationships with federal agencies, prime contractors, small business offices, and strategic teaming partners.
    • Represent HealthWorks at industry events and virtual matchmaking sessions.
  • Strategic Guidance
    • Advise on market positioning, competitive intelligence, and contract vehicles.
    • Provide regular updates on pipeline progress, proposal wins/losses, and strategic growth targets.

Qualifications

What You Bring:

  • 3+ years of successful experience in federal contracting or business development within the government health or services sector.
  • Strong knowledge of federal procurement practices, including FAR/DFAR, GSA Schedules, NAICS codes, and agency-specific acquisition methods.
  • Ability to work independently, self-manage, and deliver results in a commission-only environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills and comfort with virtual collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in occupational health, medical surveillance, or employee wellness services.
  • Experience building and managing teaming agreements, prime/sub relationships, or 8(a)/SDVOSB partnerships.
  • Familiarity with health-related federal contracts or past performance in federal clinics, wellness programs, or compliance-based health initiatives.
