Job Summary

The Business Development Manager (BDM) plays a crucial role in delivering products and services to the market. Responsibilities include driving revenue growth by acquiring new clients, establishing NMS Labs' value proposition, and developing strategic awareness to increase revenue within the Forensic Business Unit. The BDM will develop plans and strategies to expand our customer base and achieve financial objectives, with a proven track record in government and/or laboratory revenue growth.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree, preferably in sciences; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of related experience utilizing enterprise selling skills.
  • Previous sales experience in medical diagnostics, laboratory services, or forensic marketplace.
  • Experience with bid responses, contract management, government sales, and forensic science is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of customer needs in government and procurement sectors.
  • Proven success in revenue and profit growth, building strong relationships, and using analytical skills to grow existing and new customers.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
  • Focus on new client and business growth.
  • Achieve territory revenue and profitability targets.
  • Develop relationships with key decision makers to promote NMS Labs and its offerings.
  • Manage and prioritize a large geographic area for growth.
  • Prepare sales presentations, account plans, bids, proposals, and contracts.
  • Maintain client profiles and contact history in the CRM system.
  • Build and utilize a sales pipeline to meet revenue targets.
  • Provide sales forecasts and support operational efficiency.
  • Travel as required (may exceed 50% overnight travel).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Results-oriented with government sales experience.
  • Experience across the enterprise selling spectrum.
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
  • High integrity and proactive problem-solving abilities.
  • Assertiveness with self-awareness and relationship-building skills.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and detail-oriented skills.
  • Ability to work independently and execute plans.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and Power BI.
  • Experience with consultative selling strategies and relevant sales programs.
  • Current passport for occasional international travel.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to talk, hear, stand, reach, and manipulate equipment.
  • Travel and driving capability required.
  • Vision requirements with correction.
