Job description

The Business Development Manager for Bridge Deck Waterproofing is responsible for supporting and ensuring the profitable growth of the Bridge Deck Certified Applicator Network. The role requires an understanding of the bridge/DOT segment, railroad bridges, industry participation, and a collaborative approach that benefits all parties. The manager will report to the Protective and Marine Coatings USCA Commercial Director.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Identify new bridge deck applicator candidates through collaboration with the field sales team.
  2. Manage an opportunity pipeline to convert into sales.
  3. Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing bridge deck applicators.
  4. Explore new opportunities in the bridge decking space and monitor relevant projects.
  5. Drive new product development initiatives.
  6. Develop an understanding of the BD Waterproofing system and its applications.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, chemistry, business, or a related field is preferred.
  2. Minimum of 10 years' experience in strategy, marketing, or sales within the coatings industry.
  3. Strong project management skills and understanding.
  4. Ability to analyze market data for growth opportunities.
  5. Deep understanding of distributor networks and success requirements.
  6. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to engage partners at all levels.
  7. Willingness and ability to travel.
