Role Overview

As the Business Development Manager for Albertsons Confections, you will be the strategic lead in managing and expanding key client relationships within this retail channel. The role involves driving sales, increasing distribution, and providing excellent service to clients and customers. You will act as a liaison between clients and Albertsons Companies, ensuring alignment with business objectives and executing sales strategies effectively.

Location & Travel

Remote or based in Boise, ID (attend in-person meetings at ACI HQ). Travel up to 20-25% for trade shows, sales meetings, and events.

Compensation

Salary ranges from $115,000 to $130,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain long-term, productive relationships with clients and customers.
  • Understand clients' evolving needs and present product solutions accordingly.
  • Manage national review calendars and collaborate with clients to meet distribution goals.
  • Assist clients with paperwork and presentations.
  • Implement account-specific sales plans to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to support client needs.
  • Attend trade shows and sales meetings as required.
  • Approach tasks with a positive, solution-oriented mindset.
Qualifications
  • Experience calling on national grocery retailers, preferably Albertsons.
  • Strong knowledge of the confectionery category.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of consumer data analysis.
Preferred Skills
  • Extensive experience in CPG sales, especially in food/beverage sectors.
  • Experience working with Albertsons' national team.
