Job Description
As a Business Development Manager at Maxwell Healthcare Associates, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities through cold calling, appointment setting, and CRM updates. You will work closely with the Business Development and Operations teams to identify and target potential clients and sell statements of work. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are required to build relationships and secure new business. This position reports to the Vice President of Sales.
Primary Responsibilites
- Utilize cold calling techniques to introduce Maxwell Healthcare Associates and its services to potential clients.
- Set appointments with potential clients to understand their healthcare needs and present suitable solutions.
- Update the CRM system with accurate and relevant information about potential and current clients.
- Collaborate closely with the other Business Development Managers to identify and target potential clients effectively.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized statements of work and presentations to secure new business opportunities.
- Attend networking events and industry conferences to expand professional networks, build relationships, and generate leads.
- Assist in the development and implementation of sales strategies to achieve business objectives.
- Analyze market data to determine new business opportunities, target demographics, and emerging healthcare needs.
- Stay updated with industry developments and regulatory changes that may impact business opportunities.
- Identify market opportunities and develop effective business strategies.
GENERAL RESPONSIBLITIES
- Some travel is required.
- Regular and reliable attendance is required.
- All other duties assigned based on business needs. (Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without advance notice.)
- Ability to frequently sit, talk or hear, use hands, grasp, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach with hands and arms, walk; lift push or pull objects up to 15 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5+ years as a Business Development Manager or similar role.
- 5+ years in the post-acute healthcare industry.
- 2+ years selling healthcare technology and solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to breakdown and present complex client data.
- In-depth knowledge of the homecare and hospice industry
- Understanding of the patient lifecycle within Home Health and Hospice.
- Understanding of the financial, operational, and clinical process, as well as provider and patient relationships within Home Health and Hospice.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Strategic thinking and analytical mindset
- Proficient in using CRM software to manage client relationships.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Preferred
- Experience with HomeCare Homebase or other EMRs.
- Experience with Trella, Forcura, and Medalogix
- Prior Consulting experience as an individual contributor.
- Highly motivated and driven to succeed.
- Passionate about sales and building long-term relationships with clients.
- Demonstrated success in business development.
Compensation & Benefits
Position: Business Development Manager
Exempt Status: Exempt
Compensation: $60,000.00 - 100,000.00/year, plus commission
