Kokosing, Inc. is seeking a Business Development Manager to expand visibility and engagement in the Water market and support growth in Federal and Industrial & Power markets.

The role requires leading BD plans, prospecting new clients, managing CRM data, and coordinating with marketing, estimating, and operations. Ideal candidates have extensive experience in target markets, established client relationships in DC/MD/VA area, and a BS in engineering or construction management.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering, construction, construction management or equivalent work experience.
• MS Word proficiency.
• Minimum 10 years in target industry; 15+ years preferred.
• CRM experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a business development plan for responsible areas.
• Prospect new clients and maintain relationships with existing clients.
• Manage CRM data including leads, opportunities, contacts, companies, and competitors.
• Lead the development of proposals and coordinate with marketing, estimating, and operations.
• Attend industry events and participate in key industry groups at local, state, and national levels.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description:

Kokosing Industrial (Kokosing) is seeking a talented candidate with the technical skill sets and outgoing personality to join our Business Development team. The Business Development Manager is responsible for Kokosing's visibility and engagement across Kokosing's Water market and support growth in our Federal and Industrial & Power markets.

Activities of the Business Development Manager include, but are not limited to, development and execution of a business development plan, prospecting of new clients, furthering relationships with existing clients, attendance at industry events, participation in industry organizations, management of contacts and leads through a CRM system, leading proposal efforts, coordinating with key staff in marketing, estimating, and operations. This role defines and supports long-term organizational strategic goals, builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Excel in a collaborative, team environment where every voice matters;
• Leads support generation of a Business Development Plan for responsible areas;
• Services existing client base, maintaining relationships;
• Identifies potential clients by researching and building relationships with new clients;
• Maintain CRM data set including leads, opportunities, contacts, companies, and competitors
• Sets up meetings between client decision-makers and the company's practice leaders;
• Lead the development of proposals including creation of the proposal approach, development of the proposal schedule, assignment of duties, and management of production;
• Attend industry events to expand network and promote Kokosing;
• Participate in key industry groups at local, state, and national levels;
• Other duties as assigned

Desired Experiences Include:

• Minimum 10 years' experience in a target industry, with 15+ years preferred
• Experience in municipal markets, another important segment Federal and I&P
• Established relationships within targeted markets with Washington D.C., Maryland, Virginia and surrounding areas, including understanding of client's needs and solutions to those needs
• BS in engineering, construction, construction management or equivalent work experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft software including Word
• Experience using CRM systems, such as Microsoft Dynamics, preferred but not required
