Job summary

DuCharme, McMillen & Associates, Inc. is seeking an Intern, Practice Development to assist the business development team with outreach, research, and coordination of prospective client activities.

You will gain exposure to the sales process, client engagement strategies, and service offerings while supporting business development initiatives. The role is part-time (29 hours/week) with hybrid work in Houston, TX, offering hands-on experience in a collaborative environment and opportunities to

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Interest in sales, business development, or client-facing roles.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated with a positive, professional attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with outreach to prospective clients via phone and email to support meeting scheduling efforts.
  • Help coordinate and prepare for meetings with prospective clients, including calendar scheduling and materials preparation.
  • Support practice development leaders in executing outreach strategies and tracking engagement activities.
  • Research prospective clients and industries to understand potential business needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach activities and update internal systems as directed.
  • Collaborate with marketing and business development teams on projects and initiatives.
