Assist with obtaining new work for Brandt by establishing and maintaining effective contact with new and existing accounts and potential buyers of mechanical Industrial Refrigeration services. Additionally, oversee day-to-day marketing efforts for statewide support. Design refrigeration, humidity and fluid systems. Provide ongoing industrial/manufacturing engineering support to meet project goals. Evaluate, design, and engineer mechanical projects and systems to specification on Industrial Refrigeration projects ranging from new design/build to rehabilitation of existing facilities and systems.
What You’ll Do
- Create positive working relationships and maintain regular contact with assigned accounts. Reinforce Brandt’s reputation as a premier provider and valuable partner for mechanical services.
- Participate in developing the group’s business plan and budget, including methods, contact personnel, and short and long-term goals regarding new work contract negotiations and future work potential. Ensure alignment with Brandt’s overall business strategy.
- Ensure assemblies/systems are fabricated correctly.
- Confirm manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing meet specifications and customer requirements.
- Assist in solving problems with units in the field.
- Revise/edit manuals for standard custom units.
- Manage projects ranging from short-term testing to new product releases.
- Present information effectively to groups of managers, customers, and coworkers.
- Train employees or customers about refrigeration.
- Meet with client management, staff, and supervisory personnel. Create high-quality presentations explaining Brandt’s capabilities.
- Assess client needs and evaluate company resources accordingly.
- Participate in local marketing organizations (SMPS, etc.)
- Lead the development of marketing skills and client relationships within the local team.
- Coordinate with Project and Construction groups on RFP responses and follow-ups.
- Notify supervisor of sales activities and proposal timelines.
- Identify new leads, manage follow-up, and recordkeeping to assist decision-making.
- Engage in in-house planning sessions.
- Promote Brandt’s services and understand the capabilities of the industrial refrigeration group to direct opportunities appropriately.

What You’ll Need To Be Successful
- Thorough understanding of Brandt’s policies, procedures, and capabilities
- Strong team-building and leadership skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional negotiation skills
- Desire and ability to make “cold calls”
- Knowledge of Building Codes and Construction Standards
- Strong experience in refrigeration theory, thermodynamics, heat transfer, design calculation, and AutoCAD
- Experience with sheet metal design, ERP systems, and project planning/scheduling software (preferred)
- Excellent analytical and technical writing skills
- Knowledge of industrial engineering and design techniques across disciplines
- Effective time management skills
- Ability to work independently and in teams
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Ability to meet jobsite-specific access requirements without restrictions

- Minimum 5 years’ construction-related experience, including 3 years in marketing and/or estimating
