Job description

What you'll need to succeed as a Business Development Executive at XPO:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 2 years of sales experience in the LTL transportation industry
  • Experience with Windows applications and Microsoft Office programs such as MS Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Preferred qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience
  • Able to travel 50% of the time
  • Group presentation skills and excellent negotiation skills to deal effectively with individuals and groups within and outside the organization.

What you'll do on a typical day:
  • Develop and manage strategies to grow market share within assigned territory
  • Drive success in sales initiatives and share best practices for all “focus” accounts within a region
  • Monitor revenue achievement by customers and undertake appropriate actions with key stakeholders to ensure commitments are met or exceeded
  • Develop and maintain strategic multi-level customer relationships to uncover specific needs and behaviors of key decision-makers
  • Maintain complete and accurate records in CRM

Employees are paid within a salary range based on experience, skill set, and market:

  • Colorado: $72,531 - $90,664
  • New York: $75,985 - $94,982
  • California: $79,439 - $99,299
  • Washington State: $75,985 - $94,982
  • Maryland: $75,985 - $94,982
  • Minnesota: $69,078 - $86,347
  • Illinois: $75,985 - $94,982
  • New Jersey: $79,439 - $99,299

Actual compensation may vary due to factors such as experience and skill set, especially if an applicant exceeds the minimum and preferred qualifications.
