LONGHORN STAFFING SOLUTIONS is seeking an experienced Business Development professional for the Dallas/Fort Worth area in the energy services sector. The role focuses on midstream oil & gas projects, CO2 capture, and RNG opportunities, with emphasis on building and managing client relationships.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years in the industry and 5+ years in client relationship management, plus a degree in engineering, construction management, PM, or business.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or Business.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of construction processes, emphasizing industrial oil and gas.
  • Ability to communicate with all management levels to achieve project goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop business opportunities for Midstream/pipeline, CO2 Capture and Renewable Natural Gas.
  • Engage with executive management to align engagement and resources.
  • Participate in bid and constructability reviews as requested.
  • Develop and manage productive relationships and partnerships for the organization.
  • Attend conferences, client dinners, and events to source new clients.
  • Identify and pursue new clients through networking and outreach.
  • Collaborate with team to meet project needs and goals.
  • Provide weekly business development reports detailing contacts, meetings, and spend.

Job description

Business Development – DALLAS / FORT WORTH

Our client is an established energy services EPC/construction contractor supporting projects across the midstream, carbon capture, and renewable natural gas (RNG) sectors. This organization provides pipeline, facilities, utility, EPC, electrical and instrumentation construction services for compressor stations, pump & metering stations, gas treating and processing facilities, produced water infrastructure, RNG upgrading plants, and related energy infrastructure projects.

The company is actively seeking experienced Business Development professionals with a strong background in midstream oil & gas.

MUST HAVE Qualifications:
  • Ten (7-10 ) years of direct industry experience required, including at least 5 years in client relationship management.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in, Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or Business “highly” preferred.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of all construction processes, emphasizing industrial oil and gas construction sector.
  • Ability to communicate and work with all management levels to achieve the goals set for specific projects.
  • Must be able to perform in a Team atmosphere, need good inquiry skills.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to develop new business opportunities as well as foster and grow existing relationships. This position is Team focused on uncompromised safety, quality, and productivity excellence.

Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Responsible for business development and customer relations for all of Company including Midstream / pipeline and facility construction, CO2 Capture and Renewable Natural Gas
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures and ensure all are followed.
  • Works directly with executive management to ensure engagement and understanding of all potential projects to allow them time to manage the appropriate resources.
  • Work as an active team member participating in bid and constructability reviews as requested.
  • Develop and manage highly productive relationships and partnerships for the benefit of the organization.
  • Maintain good industry involvement with associations and state and local government relationships.
  • Identify and assist in leading new business opportunities, provide presentations, and attend conferences, client dinners, and events.
  • Develop networks towards sourcing for new clients.
  • Work independently on customers’ needs and communicate and work with the Team to meet the desired outcome.
  • Identify and develop resources relevant to business development and sales goals.
  • Sell the ideals and services of the business to the current and future clients towards improving sales generation.
  • Liaise with Team members to ensure top-level client experience in all cases of client interactions from follow-up to delivery and needs assessment.
  • Attract and retain clients by developing highly creative outreach strategies.
  • Work in line with the operational strategy and manpower of the organization toward its revenue generation and sales growth goals.
  • Develop business development plans, budgets, and goals to ensure that organizational objectives are achieved and align with the organization’s needs and vision.
  • Provide weekly business development reports to include contact/meeting details, the cost associated with meetings, and weekly business development spend/cost reports.
