Role Description

The Business Development Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in North Salt Lake, UT. This role involves identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in industrial controls and SCADA projects, collaborating with engineering and sales teams to develop tailored solutions for clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include engaging with prospective and existing customers, preparing technical proposals and presentations, supporting bid and quotation processes, and maintaining a pipeline of opportunities. The Business Development Engineer will analyze market trends, participate in customer visits and site meetings, and provide technical input to ensure solutions align with client requirements and industry standards. The role also includes regular reporting on business development activities and contributing to long-term growth strategies for APCO Inc.

• Candidates should possess Sales-related skills to manage the sales cycle, negotiate contracts, and close opportunities in industrial control and SCADA markets.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (e.g., electrical, control, chemical, mechanical) or a related technical field; advanced degree or MBA is a plus.
• Experience in industrial automation, process control, SCADA systems, or related engineering environments is highly beneficial.
