We are hiring a Business Development Director - US East Coast, full-time, permanent to help us deliver our medical image analysis solutions to large clinical trials.

Purpose of the Role:

The Business Development Director will be responsible for initiating and closing new client Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and contracts, increasing client diversity to support our double-digit growth ambitions. Strong consultative selling skills are essential to understand client priorities and position IXICO as a trusted partner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Implement the annual sales plan to secure new trials with international clients, aiming to meet sales targets supporting revenue growth.
  2. Develop sales strategies with the Business Development Manager for account penetration and new client acquisition, managing travel and technical support needs.
  3. Arrange face-to-face and virtual meetings to generate new business opportunities.
  4. Lead bid defenses and collaborate with Operations, Science, and Product teams for client meetings.
  5. Maintain and grow relationships with current clients to increase business across multiple trials and areas.
  6. Assess the competitive landscape for each opportunity and strategize with senior colleagues.
  7. Support response to RFPs and RFIs in coordination with the Proposals and Contracts team.
  8. Enhance knowledge of client decision-makers and provide guidance on client priorities.
  9. Research and identify new opportunities through monitoring clinical pipeline developments.
  10. Attend international industry conferences, including pre-meeting planning and post-meeting follow-up.
  11. Travel up to 50%, including international travel.
Contractual Responsibilities:
  • Draft and negotiate client service agreements and work orders.
  • Lead MSA discussions and support confidentiality agreements.
  • Manage contract documentation through to execution, improving cycle times.
Tracking and Reporting:
  • Monitor contribution to sales targets and report progress using CRM systems.
  • Participate in reviewing business development procedures.
  • Collaborate on proposal development with the Operations team.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Understanding of neuroscience and imaging markets preferred.
  • 5+ years experience in CRO, pharma, or biotech client-facing roles.
  • Degree in health sciences, business, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with CRM tools like Salesforce.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Location & Travel:
  • Home-based in the US, East Coast preferred.
