Qualifications

We are looking for a Business Development Director to join our Advisory Growth group. As a Business Development Director, you will be responsible for:

  1. Own the full sales cycle—from outreach and qualification to proposal and close—for new client acquisition.
  2. Engage with C-suite executives—primarily CEOs and CFOs—at entrepreneurial to large-scale companies with $1 to $50+ billion in assets.
  3. Position our full suite of services, including audit, tax, valuation, advisory and digital solutions.
  4. Leverage internal experts and collaborate closely with service line leaders to create high-impact proposals.
  5. Engage with external centers of influence (e.g., bankers, attorneys, consultants) to generate warm referrals.
  6. Represent Citrin Cooperman at strategic events, webinars, and networking functions.
  7. Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting in Dynamics CRM.
  8. Collaborate with internal sales colleagues to continuously improve and elevate our sales strategy.
  9. Over 10 years of senior-level success in B2B consultative sales, ideally in professional services such as accounting, consulting, ERP, advisory.
  10. Proven track record as a hunter with a strong personal network and experience selling to the C-suite.
  11. Recognized as a trusted advisor with the ability to identify client pain points, craft compelling value propositions, and successfully close complex deals.
  12. Highly motivated by achievement, commissions, and opportunities to expand influence within a respected and established brand.
  13. Self-motivated and team-oriented professional who excels in collaborative, fast-paced environments.
  14. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Accounting, or a related field.
  15. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  16. Experience negotiating proposals and closing high-value engagements in the midmarket.
  17. Strong relationships in the Tri-State area with the ability to activate a referral network.
  18. Willingness and ability to travel as needed to support relationship-building and deal execution.
